Today many associate “church” as a service, the buildings, an organization, or institutionalized religion. However, in reality the church is the people of God – the family of God.
If we desire to live in God’s ways, we cannot neglect living as a family with one another, in each other’s lives. We are to love one another, serve one another, pray for, encourage, comfort, forgive, have fellowship with, be kind to, show hospitality to, and bear the burdens of one another.
We are all about connecting with one another in meaningful relationships in life, not just at a service or event, to “do life together” day by day. You will find us eating together, enjoying recreation together, rejoicing together, grieving together, lifting each other up, and serving one another.
That is real life together. It isn’t always pretty. But it is how we are to truly live as a family.
We are to intentionally invest our lives into the lives of others. Our love for one another and others should display the kingdom of God to all people.
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34-35
If God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. I John 4:11
